Nova Covert Ops - Jarban Minor

I was in charge of art and lighting for this map. I worked with Michael Altuna to create a custom art kit for this offworld jungle tile set called Jarban Minor. The idea is that you find this terrazine mining operation that has mysteriously lost all its personal. You are there to get to the bottom of the mystery and find out the horrific truth that they were enslaving the local fauna and milking them for terrazine. The jungle is now going mad from the horrors inflicted on it and is inflecting its revenge. I really wanted to sell the tone of horror and hit little story bits all through the map hinting and the cause of the miners' demise.

I created an all new custom terrain set for this level as well. Space whale by Josh Anderson. Lots of meshes re-purposed where created by other members of the Starcraft art team including all units.
